As a kid I loved our old playground at the elementary school. What a classic, with a slide that nowadays would never be allowed on any school grounds. The jungle gym was huge, and the best merry -go-round. What happened to teeter-totters? Did they go the way of merry - go - rounds, and the old huge slides. I miss them.
I always wanted some one to put in a playground that is adult sized. Would it be a busy playground, or would it stand empty most of the time? Would we play, hopscotch, jacks, jump rope, and fly out of the swings. Just wondering.
These rings always gave me huge blisters on my hands. I worked on them until I could skip two, or three rings. I wonder if I could still do it. Can you remember how much fun it was to play until you were exhausted. I was always happy after playing on the playground.
I am sure that is why I am so drawn to yoga. Yoga is the closest thing I have found that lets me feel like I am playing like a child. Then at the end of class I get to lay down, and enjoy the happy endorphins that playing gives you.
Ahhhh!
