Summer Memories

p1140158

Where has the summer flown? Just yesterday it was 2002 and we were cooling off in the canyons.

(Favorite Friends James family and us in the Narrows at Zion's)

Hey Princesses’ remember the summer we signed you up for the 5K. What a fun time we had in 2003.  (You finished the race aren’t you happy?)

How about riding horses in Bryce Canyon. Maybe the summer of 2004 was a happier timeP1010160

What “moose” lets her son do this? I must of lost my mind in 2005.

2006 was a busy year. I am not even sure we noticed summer.

HAPPY CLERIHEW DAY!

A clerihew is a whimsical, four-line biographical poem invented by Edmund Clerihew Bentley. The lines are comically irregular in length, and the rhymes, often contrived, are structured AABB.

DSCN2275

Did you know on July 7th it was National Chocolate Day? Of course, that is a Must Celebrate.

So I dug a little deeper and found out July 10 is also a very significant Holiday.

DSCN2270

Happy Clerihew Day to you all!

I know you can not wait to read my attempts to wax poetic. You have to write one in order to be a true celebrator of Clerihew.

In fact, if I had another child I would name him/her Clerihew.
Since nothing rhymes with clerihew, and no more children are due.
Let’s start over, and give it a silly whirl,
I am sure I can come up with a little pearl.

Gotcha!

Jennefer was her name,
for 42 years just the same.
On her special day she got some new shoes,
now her pedals will fly, and there is no way she can loose.

Okay, I am getting the hang of it. Here’s another

Jennefer Rae started life a day late they say,
arriving just after her Papa's big day.
For him she always has a smile that is bright,
I guess that is why he gave her a name that means, “Queen of Light”

Yah Babay, this is what I am talking about. Last one.

If you were born on July number Ten, then today you would be happy as a HEN.
Knowing your Hubby wanted to take her to Paris or London,
but ended up settling for the Celestial Kingdom.

(give me a break it is my first time celebrating Clerihew Day)

Happy Silly Clerihew Day!

and

Mookie thanks for the JAM session!
